Before I Began, I want you to know that I took the GSE after I wrote this next section of what kind of student I am. I did this because I think the type of student I think I am and the type I actually am are different.

COVID has completely changed the type of student I am. Before COVID I would attend class regularly do the most for classes and push myself to get everything done on time and get good grades. Also, I never reached out to professors or anyone really for help. Now as a student, I don’t attend class regularly nor do I work myself to death on assignments. However, I do give myself a break and reach out to professors or friends if I need help or am struggling. When speaking about confidence level as a student or anything, I am not confident at all. I am a very negative person and my thoughts are very cruel and harsh. I don’t give myself a break and I am always trying to push myself to be the best, but I also know I’m not the best so that’s when I give up and am hard on myself. As for what factors could help me with my confidence levels as a student, I honestly don’t know what could help me. Sometimes my depression and anxiety just get the best of me and I’m honestly just trying to get my life together.

The GSE gave me a score of 2.5. I think that score is fairly accurate, I was in the middle for almost all the questions. I know how to advocate for myself but sometimes I just don’t.

Homework, Stress, and Coffee
