I definitely agreed with Buss on the first stage of the mating process and the conflict that could occur. I have been lied to by a man because he wanted some kind of sexual act, and I am not the only one; my girl friends have been lied to for the same reason. On the other hand I know myself and some of my friends have pretended to want a sexually interest so that we could have the possibility of something more coming from the relationship. I also agreed with the jealousy once in a committed relationship. I have a boyfriend and to be honest I don’t know which would be worse him sexually cheating or emotionally cheating. I don’t know how I would handle that.

I think everyone is human and those that are able to self-regulate would probably do anything that could hurt their partner in the same magnitude that they felt hurt. Men sometimes believe so much in the patriarchy that they truly believe men are supposed to act one way and the women another way; like men are supposed to be the breadwinners and women are supposed to cook, clean, and raise the children. Women sometimes can irritate men by claiming they want to be equal but when the opportunity comes they don’t take it and tell the men to do it; for example if there’s a box that needs to be moved a women might say “I don’t wanna move it, you can do it because you’re the man” or women sometimes hit men but believe men shouldn’t put their hands on women.
