SEPS 405. Directed Work Experience

Academic internship give student the opportunity to cultivate a professional network, enhance skills valued by employers, engage in practical work opportunities participate in professional development opportunities. The student work is supervised by a job supervisor and the course instructor in cooperative efforts.   Work Responsibilities: The duties consist of general duties such as answering phones, filing, signing students and taking attendance, opening the door with the lock pad camera. Performing clerical duties and fulfilling any task that’s needed for the office. Office duties also consist of security and the safety of the school as well as the students. This experience has  given me the tools I need to make decisions and solve problems, plan, organize and prioritize work, work in a team structure, demonstrate technical knowledge, analyze quantitative data and communicate verbally with staff, students and parents.
