Diversity- CPD 408 Global Leadership

This component of the Leaders Program introduces concepts of leadership in a globalized world and provides the opportunity to put leadership theory into practice. This course consisted of emphasis on the development of the student as a leader who thinks globally, appreciates cultural diversity, is technologically savvy, knows how to build partnerships and alliances and has the capacity to share leadership.

Diversity is a range of human differences, including race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity,sexual orientation, age, social class, physical ability or attributes, religious or ethical values, system national origin and political beliefs.

I have gained knowledge, plan, organize,and prioritize work. Communicating verbally with others and demonstrating technical knowledge, No one sees the world the same, we all see it in a different way. Every person has a different perspective, just like culture and nationality we all have different knowledge and point of views. I believe diversity is being aware and accepting the people that may be different but also learning from each element. I know that I will encounter diversity barriers that may cause effectiveness in communication interpersonal relationships but it can reduce the social stigma or negative perception and help with understanding behavior. Diversity relates to my future because it can lead to a better outcome in various aspects of life. It can help with innovation and creativity in the workplace in the future. Help with strategic decision making as well as solving problems.
