The Job of an Analyst

A Cybersecurity Analyst is an entry-level position that requires network monitoring, incident response, help with IT issues, and more. A Cybersecurity Analyst also requires involvement with social behaviors. The position is the frontline defense within the government or company. Therefore, they must monitor the network as well as scan the packets being sent to ensure that there is no potential malicious information present in the network and production systems. An example of an attack would be phishing emails. Phishing emails are sent by automated servers that try to get information out of people, companies, and governments. A Cybersecurity Analyst might be able to stop a majority of phishing emails from reaching the inbox of employees by setting up an email filter and firewall to block those malicious emails.
