To utilize my expertise to assist and engage with force health protection efforts among service members across multiple environmental settings through the prevention of infectious disease and injuries by evaluating environmental health hazards and recommending effective public health measures to promote the safety and wellness of all service members.

Three areas of interest in Public Health:

1. Preventive Medicine because the challenges to public health continue to evolve and it is important to promote health and prevent disease and premature mortality.
2. Disease Surveillance because I find this task to be of great importance to prevent future outbreaks of once controlled diseases as well as detect emerging threats.
3. Emergency Response because I like being able to be on the front line after an incident has occurred and being able to help those affected.

I will contribute to the field of public health by using my education and professional experiences to support and promote public health efforts to prevent the spread of controllable diseases and to ensure the safety and well-being of those I am responsible for.
