With all of the 50 jobs listed, each of them has the similarity of knowledge involving the scenarios in any given situation that an IT professional should know how to do. All of the positions have to perform their job at an expertise level without any room for error. In the position of being an IT Security Architect, you have to be able to know how a security system should optimally work and coordinate with other partners in your sector into creating this process. What surprises me is that you basically have to know the ins-and-outs of every aspect of Cybersecurity. The position involves mathematical thinking, coordination/communication, and thoughtful planning into implementing framework.

The next one that fascinated me was the position of Incident Responder. It is basically the 911 of Cybersecurity where an organization reports a cyberattack incident and they are the first responders to this event. Disciplines can involve quick-thinking and having the knowledge to resolve these attacks in an organized manner. The surprising factor is how overwhelming it is because you have to be able to know what to do on the spot once the incident is reported, unlike some of the other positions.

Lastly, being a cybercrime investigator is an interesting, but complicated position in the Cybersecurity field. Essentially you are the Sherlock Holmes of Cybersecurity, where you have to investigate the cybercrimes and trace them down to the perpetrators. To my unveil, fraud still is ever increasing every year even with the heavy amount of work these investigators perform. This is why these kinds of people are becoming more of a need in the field.

Overall, these are all positions that are interesting to me and knowing what goes into learning these positions can be a first step towards maybe even becoming one of them. However, it is important to note that it is not so easy because it requires a lot of time and knowledge and with little mistakes as they are vital to our society today.
