I am working with Healthy Chesapeake for my internship. Healthy Chesapeake is a non-profit organization that promotes all health aspects to those in the Chesapeake community. Healthy Chesapeake was established in 2015 after the Director of the Chesapeake Health Department discussed the declining health conditions in the community with representatives from various health organizations and the former mayor of Cheasapeake, Alan Krasnoff. Their long-term goal is to be the healthiest city in Virginia.
