How does your major relate to cybersecurity technology?

I am double majoring in Criminal Justice and Psychology. This is a class that I am taking as a general education requirement, but I am also very interested in it and was thinking about minoring in Cybersecurity. Today the world is very technological. Especially with majoring in Criminal Justice, I think that this class will be of very good use. Not only will this course excel my background knowledge but there is an immense amount of cybercrime today. I do not have a lot of knowledge at all about Cybersecurity but I am very excited to change that. My dream career goal is to be a special agent in the Federal Bureau of Investigation and to be in the Federal Bureau of Investigation I know a person has to be well educated and within certain topics. Having knowledge in Cybersecurity will definitely give me an advantage. Even if I do not make it into the FBI I would still like to stay in that field. Whether the police force or a detective. But either way, cybersecurity is a very good thing to know about. I was even considering taking a class in cybercrime but I chose to take this one first and see how I like it and how I do in the course. I do have very high expectations of this course and I am very excited to get started. I am still considering taking cybersecurity a step further like minoring in it. At the moment it just depends on how the courses I take now are going. I really do think I am going to enjoy this course. This course relates to my major by not only fulfilling my requirements but also by taking this course I am trying to figure out if I want to further my education in Cybersecurity.
