1.  How do engineers make cyber networks safer?

Engineers are always looking for ways to improve the cyber network to be safer. They are constantly developing new ideas and applying them. They will reach out to other co-workers or other people in their field and they will bounce ideas off of each other. They also learn from each other’s mistakes. Engineers are very observant they watch and look for when other companies get attacked and then they find out how and then improve that area themselves. It is very common for engineers to run fake hacking scams on their own or program to see how it works. They do this to test if they did a good job on their program. They will try to get past it while impersonating a hacker. This technique is called the penetration test. If they found spots that they could get through they will go and work on it and do the penetration test over and over. They also constantly change the program that way hackers can not get used to what they are doing. They change and mix up their style. They are always looking for ways to implement new items and techniques on their own. The more that is there the harder it is for a hacker to get through. They also set guidelines on what to do in case of an unfortunate event that a hacker does breakthrough. Every company has its own set of guidelines but it’s always very good to have some everyone knows what to do in case it does happen. Technology is also always changing and advancing. Engineers have to stay on their toes when dealing with technology because if they are not familiar with an advanced technique then what they have been doing could be all for nothing. Engineers work very hard to keep their company safe and are always observing others to make themselves better.
