The Assignment five was about paying it forward. I really enjoyed this assignment, because I think it is important to get outside of your daily in and outs and think about another live and their daily struggles, what they go through and how their day looks. Going with the term that you don’t know a persons’ life until you walk a mile in their shoes. The assignment was to perform 5 random acts of kindness, which I did and in doing those I thought about things I do on the normal to show others kindness like handing someone something off the top shelf at the grocery store. Those small acts can really go a long way to improve someone’s day and maybe even their week. Assignments like these go hand in hand with what we have previously learned about how we perceive people and their actions.

The third assignment was about prejudice, and a video that was taken of Michael Richards during a comedy show. Where he used racial slurs and demonstrated very irrational behavior to some of his fan, because in his words they were “haggling him on stage”. My takeaway from this assignment is that regardless of your own personal beliefs if you are in the eye of the public. Someone who is looked on as a celebrity, you should hold yourself up to a higher standard and be a role mole instead of someone who portrays that time of behavior as positive. In my opinion Michael not only ruined his career by his actions but the respect that his fan as for him. I understand that being a celebrity would defiantly be trying but being a decent human being is not. And at the end of the day that all any of us are.

The second assignment was to pick pictures that represented different parts of your life. In this assignment I learned how many different faces a person can wear, I had never thought about it before but picking out those pictures really opened my eyes so the things I hold in important and how they transmit into who I am, and the personality I have. We learn so much the people close to us be that mentally or physically.
In the assignment the photos that I though reflected my self best all had the important people in my life. Family and friends are such a big part of my life, so in the assignment I think that was the most personally relevant part of the assignment. I was very interesting to really go through photo and think deeper about them then just the surface level. I really enjoyed the second assignment!

ATAI:
The first assignment was very informative, i personally didn’t know very much about heuristics and the your brain has coping mechansim for information overload. I defiently feel like because of assignment one I have a much better understanding of the diffrent types of heuristics, I feel like because of the in-depth questions on the report I really understand the concept. So the image I’ve decided to use is an illustration about representativeness heuristic. Because I think representativeness heuristics is used most often.
