I feel like I have achieved a lot in this course as far as furthering my knowledge of social psychology, and interpersonal interactions. Going into this course I though organization and keeping up with assignments with a due date calendar would make me more successful in the course, and that ring true. Having everything written out in a calendar format has defiantly helped me stay on top of things.

Even when life throws you curve balls you know what to expect when you are prepared. I think I have grown academically over this semester, by being able to utilize the skills that I have learned in this course in my everyday life and social interactions. One skill that I have gained that I think will be very useful is the ep assignments and how to navigate word press. I had never used word press before so of course there was a learning curve, but I feel very comfortable now and I think this will be a great skill to bring into my career and future to be able to represent myself to a wider audience.

Intelligence growth concept. I first of the three things most important things I learned this semester, is a better understanding of how you are perceived by others, with social ques, media presentation and social relationships. The second is how you I process information and how I organize and learn through the general self-efficacy scale after tallying my scores I got a 30 on the quiz and since the highest score you can get is a 40. That would mean that I have a good amount of self-efficacy. I think it is so important to be self-efficient and stay on top of things in all aspects of life. I am defiantly a planner, so I really enjoyed that assignment. The third things I really took interest in this semester in the lesson plan was how music is related to memory after the blog we did a couple weeks ago. I look more into music theory, and I think I may take a class about it because it’s so interesting how all our senses work together to make memories. I have really enjoyed social psychology and I also thinks it has tied into a lot of the other classes I have taken. Last semester I took Women psychology which ties into another assignment we did about how women are represented in the media and secularized as a whole. That is why I love psychology because everything is an olive branch melting together to make the tree of understanding.

The tree of life. Of course, that is not always the case, but statistically with 71 percent of men saying that have deceived a woman with emotions or fake feeling to have sexual contact with her. Because of this it assumed that men choose mates a bit more recklessly than females do. I would say that men upset women the most by infidelity of course not only men cheat but statistically from the institute for family studies men report cheating 20 percent of the time and women report cheating 13 percent of the time. And, in my opinion women anger men most by withholding sexual relations. Women are constantly looked at has objects and sexualized in everyday life. So, it is not surprised that women are propositioned for sex much more than men are.

Who Cheats More? So self-regulation is so important to your mental health. Letting yourself be aware of your feelings and thinking those thoughts more productively and taking that separately from your emotions is an important step for self-management. Emotional intelligence to me means when someone can think of others point of views in a non-threating way. Taking criticism with stride, in a positive way as well as giving constructive criticism in a positive outlook. I think a great example for emotion intelligence is taking that criticism and using it to better understand yourself and what moves you should make to grow as a person. I think everyone can improve with their emotional intelligence because we all grow and learn through different stages of our life and need different levels of emotional intelligence to deal with those stages and grow to become better partners, friends, and people in general.

https://www.ihhp.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Good-EQ.pdf

Blog 6 March 4, 2022

In media I think women have always been discriminated and misrepresented. Advertising puts such a pressure on women to be perfect to have a body with no fat, to have flawless skin. All these things really affecting women self-confidence and the way they preserve their bodies. Focusing only on a women body as more of an object then an actual person with thoughts and feelings. The beauty standard into society is unattainable because they are not real, they are all photoshopped so extremely they most could not even be atomically possible. Unfortunately, women live in a world where there is always a threat because women are looked at as an object, and typically seeing women in that light and dehumanizing them is the first step toward abuse and mistreatment. Men leave in a much different world yes of course men are also sexualized but not in the same way women are. Women can only be sexualized in media if they are young and beautiful.

Blog 5 February 27, 2022

The first advertisement I chose was that of a creditable score. I want to stay up to date on the material we are learning. So, I understand the material before I begin to study for the exam. So, I always make sure to stay present for the reading material for me to learn best I like to see the material several times. For the most part I consider my sell a dedicated to student, I do my best to stay on top of due dates and large assignments that are coming up so I can be prepared. I make weekly to do list, and I also print out the semester due dates for each of my classes.

But sometimes I finish things at the last minute, or put off assignments because I am tired, or mentally exhausted because I am a busy person. I carry so many different faces, a wife, a mother, an employee, a student. My plate is full, and sometimes I feel like I am not doing enough but I am doing my best and that is all that matters to me! So, I did the General Self-Efficacy Scale my score was a 30 and my mean was a 3 which feel right for me.

General_Self-Efficacy_Scale-GSE1Download

Blog 1 January 22, 2022

I am excited to learn more about social psychology while taking Psyc 304. While I was reading over the syllabus, it is apparent that we will be learning mainly about the way people perceive others and that impact that has on relationship and social interactions.

Reading through the objectives outlined in the course. Understanding how one perceives society and deals with relationships and societal interactions. So, I think that would be very beneficial to my education and furthering my career as I am taking this course because it is part of my curriculum from the psychology program. I hope to one day teach on the high-school or college level so having the ability to understand how people perceive society and societal relationship with defiantly help in that profession.

My expectation from this course is so really learn more about social psychology and do be able to use that knowledge throughout my education and my career. I am hoping to gain more information about human perception associated to psychology and have a better understanding about discrimination and prejudice in our society. I am a very organized person and I typically thrive when my life is more organized and stable. I typically keep a detailed calendar of reminders and due dates so I can keep myself accountable. Specifically taking all online course can be hard so I like to do that to make sure I am staying on top of all my classes, so I intended on keeping those practices

I am a very organized person and I typically thrive when my life is more organized and stable.
