For example, a fake website may use a URL that looks almost identical to a credible website but contains small spelling changes or replaced letters with numbers. According to Phelps, there are three fake websites that when compared to their real counterparts show how an individual may fall prey to its phishing attempt. A fake Netflix login page would lure an individual to provide their account login and require them to update their payment method. Though one can tell that the website is fake by identifying that the websites URL is not owned by Netflix. A fake Booking.com reservation page would lure an individual through a reservation confirmation request; however, an individual could tell that the website is fake through the payments requests that are through an unfamiliar website. A fake google verification page could lure an individual through a security verification prompt, and like the other fake websites mentioned, an individual could see that the website is fake through the unusual instructions that differ from the usual googles verification process.

Reference
Person, E.
