This persona assignment has been all over the place. I originally wanted to learn a trick with my scooter. but due to how busy my work schedule was it would have ended up being way more strange and all over the place but it could have been interesting
Then on valentines day, I was given a Kent Del Rio Cruiser bike by a good friend. Funny enough, I forgot I agreed to receive this bike.
I tweeted about my process of trying to fix my newly given bike. And for those who think this isn’t a sports-related persona.

But first I had to Identify what was wrong with it

I did appreciate the small victory of fitting all this into the perfect word limit.
But before I could do anything like that, I needed to register my bike with ODU’s parking and transportation services.
Doing this gives me a free bike lock, seat cover, and identification code that links the bike to myself if it ever gets stolen. And it’s pretty easy to do the online paperwork.
After getting the bike lock I then had to struggle for my life because for some reason the lock’s keys it was wrapped with silver wire. These wires can be cut easily if you have a wire cutter. I, however, do not have a wire cutter and nobody around me had one as well. I thought my regular scissors would do the trick but it only ended up dulling the blade. But I wasn’t done I went back to my apartment to try and find every sharp pair of cutting equipment that I own. It ended with several casualties.
After cutting the pieces one by one for an hour I managed to get through the wire and retrieve the keys to the lock.

After going to 7-11 I found out that they did not have WD-40, but because I didn’t want to give up I wanted to see what I can use as an alternative. After looking online I found that you can use white vinegar and baking soda to take care of the rust

and with for the WD-40 you can use vegetable oil and water.

I will say that this order was probably the weirdest thing that I’ve purchased here.

After making it home I then created my science experience to disintegrate, my witch’s brew of revival, my concoction to remove the red.
Then was time for the vegetable oil
Funny enough once I made it I had made the mixture a dorm mate of mine came by and delivered proper WD-40
I still used the mixture

I gave it one last look over and started working on it in the morning
After all of the work this week I felt it was a success. A nice bike for free and it was fun to use household items to fix its problem. Anyone anywhere can too use these tools to fix things.
