In the last few years media consumption has changed drastically in how we take them in. Apps such as vine and now tiktok paving the way for how much people love short and bite-sized content. Not many people now can really watch a full game without the highlights. A few years ago I knew a few friends who loved to watch the whole game but now only enjoy bits and pieces created by others. Like the report shows showing the best plays of the week.

Some might find this change in consumption bad while people like me who like sports but sometimes can’t watch the whole game of football are amazing. I can get all of the best parts in 60 seconds or less and still come out of the video with the same information as someone who watched the whole game. some might think that’s “lame” or cheating but doing stuff like this can get others who don’t watch full games to become more interested in seeing the full game. I would assume when television was first used to broadcast sports someone was like “ITS NOT THE SAME, YOU NEED TO BE THERE IN PERSON” and now it’s just the same thing.

It’s just another part of media evolution.

If I could change anything I would say to have others accept this more. Humans don’t like change, and this is doing more good than harm. Constantly going against the grain is just a waste of time in my opinion.
