While writing my essay number four I have notice Improvements that I have made since writing the first essay. One improvement that I have made is being able to write the essays faster. I can do this because I understand the structure of a five-paragraph essay and know how to put everything together more efficiently. I am also able to come up with my thesis statement after reading the prompt that am writing about. Before this semester I had to put a lot of thought into how I was going to write an essay while trying how to recall a structure that I learned in the past. Another improvement that I have made this semester is being more aware of the sentence structures that I write. This improves my writing by knowing what type of sentence I am writing and giving variety of sentences to the essay. My grammar in writing has also improved by giving more confidence to write more complex sentences. I have also improved by realizing what narrative voice I am writing in and staying in the same one throughout the essay. Before the semester I never thought of the point of view that I write in, but now I am constantly keeping my writing in the same narrative voice. Some challenges that I have encountered writing essay four is sometimes not knowing how to begin or what to begin the essay with. Beginning essays is hard for me sometimes because I am not sure how I can introduce the topic with a broad statement at the beginning and make it more specific leading to the thesis. In addition to the intro, I also find it difficult to end the essay in the conclusion. I still need some improvement with my writing, but I have made an improvements that I have learned this semester and will be very beneficial to future writing.
