Assignment Takeaway 5
The previous assignment was called Pay It Forward. Paying it Forward is a phrase used when doing an act of kindness that one could possibly do for another with the intentions that the only thing they do in return is to perform a deed of good. Which is what did for the entire week. During the week I noticed that I had to understand that it was difficult to pay it forward to someone that I did not know. I reflected back and thought about how much nicer people in the world would be. I’ve also noticed that many people in the world are mean until one does something nice to them. I believe we should all take that first stop and paying it forward. In the end, I learned much knowledge that I will keep with me in the future.

Assignment Takeaway 4
The previous assignment I enjoyed the most thus far. I was able to take the style of love questionnaire in which it described the five different styles of love. It was interesting to see where I lacked and could improve on. I reflected back on my pervious relationship to see what went wrong. I connected more with this assignment because it was relevant and personal. It helped me look at things in a different way.

Assignment Takeaway 3
When writing my assignment, I have learned that the impact of offensive slurs of people will show their character. Though they may not have noticed what they have said, it was said. I have also learned that because the N word is so defensively used, it shouldn’t be used. Listening and writing about this topic was an eye-opener that many people felt it’s still “okay” to use the N word. I personally was saddened by the entire video and astonished. I’m pleased that in psychology class, we are able to write about diverse topics. It helps me learn about others and me to become a better person.
I chose that photo because it still exists today sadly. We should all come together as one.
Assignment Takeaway 2

These heuristics used to help make judgments and decisions. These mental shortcuts decisions are needed because if not, every decision made would take a while to make. In chapter two, there are four heuristics that were used to make complex decisions less complex. These four heuristics are representative heuristics, availability heuristic, anchoring and adjustment heuristic, and status quo. I learned that individuals like to stick to the status quo. Watching the Disney movie, High School Musical it reminded me of my school. There were many different groups that participated in different extracurricular activities. People like to stick to the same ideas etc. Individuals aren’t willing to branch out to different concepts.
