In today’s modern society most things are carried out through the web. Most things such as schools, workplaces, personal life, businesses, and much more require the use of at least some technologies like the internet. While these technologies are making the industrial world big and are creating more money, they are also prone to cyber-attacks, and that is why cybersecurity programs are at an all-high demand for big and small businesses. According to Statista in 2018, the average annualized cost of cyber-crime attacks in the U.S amounted to 27.3 billion dollars. These sorts of attacks are not limited to just one country rather they are across the world. In Japan, it’s estimated that around 13.57 million U.S dollar is lost per year due to cybercrime. Based on some of these numbers it’s very clear that cybersecurity is needed very much because it can protect companies’ information from hackers and from human error. The cost of cybersecurity is different depending on which company it is. In the world of business, everyone is a target for cybercrimes. Cybercriminals don\u2019t discriminate based on company size or profit because their goal is to steal as much money as they can. There are factors that determine cybersecurity costs like the size of the company, their product, and their service. Some of the costs of cybersecurity programs are training employees which is going to result in financial costs. On average the pricing for monitoring can range between $100-$500 per month and this is just for a small-sized network so depending on the size price range will increase. Although they might be expensive it’s worth it seeing as how billions are lost due to cyber-attacks. There are benefits of applying cybersecurity programs to businesses.
