I am a driven and dedicated student with a background in real estate and new home construction. Seeking a meaningful career change, I began my academic journey at Thomas Nelson Community College, where I earned my Associate’s degree. I am currently pursuing my Bachelor’s degree at Old Dominion University. My husband and I recently purchased our first home, where we live with our dog and cat. His commitment to a career in the Army has led us to reside in several states, including Virginia, Florida, and Missouri.

Pulaski County Health Center
Founded in 1950, the Pulaski County Health Center serves the Waynesville area by providing essential public health services. The center operates with support from local, state, and federal funding, as well as fee-for-service programs. Governed by a board of directors, the facility collaborates closely with local law enforcement, fire departments, area hospitals, and the nearby military installation to ensure the highest standard of care for the community.

Preceptor: Deborah Decker – Health Director
Deborah Decker has been with the Pulaski County Health Center for over two decades. She began her career in the WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) program and eventually transitioned into an assistant role for the former Health Director. Her dedication and leadership led to her selection as the current Health Director. In this role, Deborah is instrumental in the center’s ongoing success. She helped establish the Healthy Futures initiative, which supports rural schools through fitness and health programs, including the Frog Hill Half Marathon and 10K, the Bad Dawg Ultra, and the OneSolePurpose Project, which provides shoes for children in need. Additionally, she serves as office manager, overseeing procurement and maintaining relationships with external partners to ensure smooth operations.
