Collecting information of people younger than 13, Illegal searchers on the internet, faking your identity online, Bullying and Trolling, and Torrent Services. I think these offenses are serious because it falls in the category of various crimes. More so the illegal searches on the internet which include child pornography are up there in the serious violations. Bullying and Trolling can cause people to commit self-harm. Torrent services are illegal and what if you’re downloading something you are unaware of and it causes you to get in some legal trouble. Collecting information from someone who is younger than 13 is violating their rights and some of those minors have no idea that it is a law. Faking your identity on line can cause other people to get hurt, for instance you’re cat fishing someone and then take legal action because of it.  

The purpose of this policy is to address the use of official University electronic messaging systems and the resulting responsibilities of faculty, staff, and students. The whole point of this policy is to make so that activity and communication is going smoothly, in a way this is like cyber security, the policy is covering a lot of ground and they are provided official email accounts to look over the grounds of information technology, so in hindsight this is directly linked to cyber security.
