Sanitation Staff

Regal Theaters April 2022- September 2022

In this position, I worked ~30 hours a week primarily cleaning 20 theaters with a total capacity approaching 5,000 seats, as well as restrooms, kitchen areas, kitchen equipment, storage areas, common areas, displays, and machines. I also received significant experience with crowd management, customer service, cashiering, food service, and sales, as sanitation staff were expected to fill roles in other positions when needed.

Senior Editor

Manchester Scroll September 2020 – June 2022

Senior Editor for a High School Publication. This position gave me substantial experience in a number of key areas, including: Creative writing, meeting deadlines, adopting a leadership role, editing different types of writing at various levels of skill and experience. Crucially, I gained experience collaborating with other programs, such as the broadcast team, school faculty, community college personnel, local news staff (WRIC and PBS), and local business owners. The program was more than I bargained for, but my ambition and skillset allowed me to quickly rise to the highest leadership position in the organization. I led teams of up to 30 people and edited for up to 50 people at a time.

In working with these other organizations, I also gained experience in digital marketing, web design, customer interface design, logo design, and graphic design.

Farmhand

January 2016 – September 2022

Spend most weekends tending to grandmother’s farm or other farms in area that will pay. Most frequent tasks (outside of animal husbandry) include forest management, fence repair, field work, carpentry, detailing, equipment repair (tools and vehicles), digging for construction purposes (with handheld tools and machinery), controlled burns, coordinating tasks with other contractors, collecting and cataloguing inventory, pest control, environmental management. Other miscellaneous tasks are usually required of me, as well- crucially, dealing with other people involved in a given project to coordinate efforts is a strong suit of mine.
