I originally came to Old Dominion intending to pursue nursing, but recently I have changed my major to speech-language pathology. I chose to switch my majors because I decided that I wanted to help people, specifically children, and leave them with skills that would carry on for the rest of their lives. I don’t have any experience in that particular field, but I have lots of experience working with children, and that experience has led me to choose the major that I am pursuing today.
