My sports media consumption diet usually follows strictly hockey. I enjoy watching games and seeing all of the media content that is posted online about players and games throughout the season. Although, this means that I only pay close attention to sports from January through July. I usually watch hockey games through ESPN+ and get updates through social media such as Instagram, TikTok, and sometimes Snapchat. My sports media consumption diet has changed over the last 5 years tremendously because I would rarely watch professional sports growing up unless I would go to the game in person. Throughout the next 5 years, I believe there will be many changes in the way that the public consumes sports media. I believe that all sports will be able to be streamed anywhere on any device for cheaper pricing than what is available today because there will start to be more competitors in the market where you can watch the games. I also believe that within the next 5 years that the Olympics will be better broadcasted within the United States so that we are able to watch all of the events live. If I could make any changes to the sports communication landscape today, it would be to put the National Football League games on streaming services instead of cable tv. This is because I would be more interested in watching the sport if it was easier to watch live instead of highlights of the games after they were played.
