Interpretive, Interpersonal, and Presentational Modes of Communication

This assignment was a bit hard for me, though it helped me organize and use my regular weekly schedule by translating it in Spanish. I used this assignment because I’m using it as a learning mechanism, more so a reflection of what I did wrong and what I could’ve done better, to prefect this assignment.
For starters my assignment is unfinished and not through. Yes, I included the main things I do during that following day. But for the remaining hours of the day, I failed to include the rest of the things I do during my day.

Exploring Culture
Enrolling in the class I only looked at it as a requirement course, but now I view it as a new learning mechanism that can help me in the future. Having the ability and willingness to learn a second language can be very beneficial. In the beginning the work was kind of like a refresher for me because I have a little Spanish knowledge from high school. But as the semester progressed the assignments and modules were a bit more challenging, but I appreciated my professor for making them challenging. The harder modules pushed me to actually try instead of finding the easy way out, meaning look everything up online. However, I do still struggle with a few things, in terms of having face-to face conversations. I know what I want to say, and I understand the questions, my mind just goes blank, and I completely forget everything, but overtime i have worked on my confidence.
Reflection:
If I had to grade myself for the entire semester, I would give myself a low C. I will admit there were time I couldn’t figure out something and I used my Spanish Dictionary to look up the answer, but there were also times I tried to do it from memory. Because as my professor stated in the real world when you are having a conversation with someone, you will not have those resources available. However, this semester I can definitely say I learned a lot, more than I learned in high school. Every unit was so in depth and specific, it wasn’t possible to a single piece of information, because if you missed it then you wouldn’t excel in the assignment. Enduring this challenging course, it really opened my eyes, because speaking Spanish can be different forms speaking Spanish in a household. When you are learning the language of Spanish in school you are taught to use conjugations and certain punctuation, or it won’t make sense.
