My name is Camille Hairston, and I am 21 years old. I am currently a rising junior here at ODU. My current major is Health Administration with a minor in management. I am originally from Williamsburg, VA where I grew up for about 19 years. However just this year my family and I moved to Yorktown, VA to be closer to my grandparents on my dad’s side. Prior to attending ODU, I attended college elsewhere; Virginia Union University for my freshman year and Thomas Peninsula Community College for my sophomore year. I was a D2 collegiate track and field athlete during the time I went to Virginia Union. I am now a retired athlete. Even though I do not run anymore I still try to stay active by working out and going on short-long runs from time-to-time. After obtaining my Bachelor of Science degree, I plan to attend Physician Assistant school for two years. Of course, after my gap year and taking the GRE. I have narrowed it down to a list of the top 3 specialists I would like to work in: OB-GYN, Orthopedics or Plastic Surgery. Since 2021 I have been working as a Medical Assistant to gain clinical hours. My first job was working at a dermatology clinic. I currently work at an ENT clinic as a Medical Assistant/ Surgical Assistant.
