Of the 7 different categories included in the NICE Framework, Protect and Defend seems the most appealing to me. The careers that interest me the most within this category is Cyber Defense Analyst and Incident Response. Being able to detect and respond to any potential Cyber attacks sounds like a challenging but extremely fulfilling and rewarding career. Investigative jobs such as Digital Forensics would also be a rewarding career, as I would have opportunities to assist in criminal law enforcement investigations. While all of the categories are important in their own respect, operate and maintain would likely be the category that I show the least interest in. Some of the positions described in this category such as Customer Service and Technical Support seem like good entry-level jobs, but not something I see myself doing or being interested in 5-10 years into my career.
