It is difficult to foresee how interactions and applications will be executed in cyber policy and cyberinfrastructure when it is almost impossible to predict how it will turn out.

There are several ways to approach the development of cyber policy. One of them is through onlife initiative. Onlife initiative is using collective thought to seek cyber policy effects of those changes. This helps us with predictive knowledge by having confidence in what is happening. For example, it helps adjust relationships with ourselves and others globally by establishing a new way of reference frameworks.

Cyberinfrastructure requires a different technique. Copious amounts of information come with new vulnerabilities that arise from the increasing dependence on infrastructures. I believe this needs to be addressed in a way that holds the individuals and companies accountable for this overload and making amends. Cyberinfrastructure relates to the network and Wi-Fi and how easily accessible these can be; whether in a personal or commercial situation. Obviously, businesses would tend to have a better lockdown on their network, making sure it is secure and not vulnerable to outside threats. Whether personal or business infrastructure is at stake, it is important to make sure all precautions have been taken to minimize the threat. Some ways to achieve this is to always make sure the websites you use are secure, secure your own network and Wi-Fi with passwords, and never have your devices automatically connect to public Wi-Fi. It goes without saying to not put your personal information out there, especially any of your financial information.

With the “short arm” of predictive knowledge, there is a disadvantage because we will never have full knowledge of anything. It seems that cybercriminals always tend to stay one step ahead of us and it is hard to predict how they will target and invade their victims in the future. However, by implementing and proceeding with these issues head-on, there will be an improvement.
