You complete an individual development plan and work with a mentor to explore career options, identify and develop core competencies, and better prepare for a career following completion of the graduate program.<\/p>\n<p>Students can receive a Preparing Future Professionals Certificate by documenting completion of a certain number of activities related to preparing for your specific career interests.<\/p>\n<p>Earn the PFP Certificate by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Developing an individual development plan (IDP)<\/li>\n<li>Creating and\/or revising\/updating a resume<\/li>\n<li>Attending professional development events or complete professional development activities<\/li>\n<li>Producing an ePortfolio to document and highlight professional development and growth<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>See the full PFP Certificate requirements <a href=\"http:\/\/sites.wp.odu.edu\/careerpathways\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4223\/2025\/09\/PFP-Certificate-Requirements-Sp2025.pdf\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is Preparing Future Professionals (PFP)?
