False links usually have spelling mistakes. An example of this is having a link from Instagram spelled 1nstagram. Hackers will bait victims by trying to make the name difference unnoticeable. Another way hackers send false links is through email. A false email will look like it’s from an official account, but either the email will have a spelling error, or the email will be edited with a false hyperlink. The last way to make sure an email is false is if the sender asks for personal information. Emails that are from real senders will have an official account without spelling errors. Their links will have the correct company name and HTTPS type. They will not ask for personal information. Lastly, real senders will only contact you if there has been a concern on your end of the system or website. Companies will not contact you first.
