During my interview I talked to a very experienced registered nurse about her journey into her field.Her name is Pamela Jackson and she currently works at Hunter Holmes McGuire which is a VA hospital as a Hemodialysis nurse.She currently has her nursing diploma and from there she was able to get a job.She enjoys her position mainly because it’s flexible and gave her time to attend church.She told me that the most challenging aspect of her career is the times where she may have to miss a family event or a holiday due to being called in to work.Some words of wisdom that she told me was to “be patient and to challenge myself” which is something I will carry with me throughout obtaining my degree!
