I have one younger sister named Abby. She is my best friend and has been for as long as I can remember. We are very close. I am a sophomore Old Dominion University studying Music Education and Sound Recording. I am involved in the Marching Band, Basketball Band, and many other ensembles on campus. I am the public relations representative for our school’s chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi. Which is a national band service fraternity. I have performed in the Virginia International Tattoo, Mannette Festival of Steel, and performed with the Rhythm Project All-Stars. Not only have I made an effort to step into leadership positions within my various school activities but I also take actions to maintain and meet high expectations I’ve set for myself academically. I also serve as a member of National Society of Leadership and Success. I am also a member of National Association for Music Educators. The past two Semesters I have attended ODU I have made the dean’s list.
I am a woman of faith. I have been raised in both the Lutheran and Methodist church since I was born. My mom is a youth pastor and my dad, sister, and I help lead the praise band. This is easily the biggest part of my life that defines me the most. I couldn’t tell you about myself without talking about what has been my foundation in my life thus far. I participate in a week-long mission trip to various part of Appalachia every summer. The trip is called the Appalachian Service Project, or ASP. There I spend a week doing home repair and faith development; this is easily the best week of my year every year. I plan to one day work on their staff all summer.
