My name is Deonta Carmack, and I’m currently a freshman at Old Dominion University, majoring in Cybersecurity. Before starting college, I gained hands‑on customer service and technical experience working at Best Buy, where I learned how to troubleshoot devices, communicate with customers, and stay calm under pressure. Outside the classroom, I stay active in a mix of creative and athletic interests such as fashion, basketball, and cars, which have all played a big role in shaping who I am. Whether I’m putting together an outfit, hooping with friends, or learning more about automotive performance, I enjoy exploring the things that inspire me. As I continue my studies in cybersecurity, I’m excited to build on my skills and work toward a career that lets me protect systems, solve problems, and make an impact.
