My name is Arnold Castillo,
I am a communication major at the incredible Old Dominion University. I choose to pursue a degree in communications because the field is so broad that it coincides with so many other professions. A communication degree doesn’t place you in a box limiting you to one particular career path, that’s why I love it, the sky’s the limit! While pursuing my degree, I’ve taken courses such as public speaking, public relations, sociology, and now Spanish which is testing and forcing me out of my comfort zone but allowing me to grow as a student/professional. Once I obtain my degree, I want to work for a nonprofit organization focusing on community outreach and event coordination in under privilege communities.
Outside of Old Dominion University, I am a die-hard New Yorker that’s loves the Giants and the Nets. I love going to the movies, working out, and pretty much anything I can do outdoors in the warm weather. Lastly, the world and the people in it are very important to me. In my free time I organize communal donation drives to assist nonprofit organizations in my community.
