Journal #4

Physiological needs- My experience with physiological needs is that I cannot go without my phone since I have everything and do everything with my phone. I would start to panic because I could not find it. For example, I was at a restaurant, and when we were about to leave, I wanted to check the time but found out my phone was not with me. Come to find out, I left it in the car.

Safety needs- Luckily, I’ve never had a situation where one of my devices caught a virus. However, if I did experience a virus on my device, I would immediately clear all cache, delete browser history, reboot the device, and upload a security application to go deeper to clear out the virus.

Belongingness and love need – When I was younger, possibly in middle school, when the social app Kik was around, I wanted to interact with more people than the usual people I had interacted with, so I would give people my kik so we could talk.

Esteem Needs – When I first got Instagram, I wanted to be like other people my age and have many followers and likes. So I considered downloading an app that would give me followers and likes. But now I don’t care and go on social media to catch up on what’s happening in the world and have a good laugh.

Self-actualization- During my time at TCC before transferring to ODU, I took a class that required us to use CTF (Capture the Flag) to get our answers. I’ve never used a CTF platform, and during the semester, I felt better with Linux systems than I did before the semester had ended.
