Fake Websites Vs Real Websites: An example of a Fake website would be a website that uses slight changes in URL like replacing a letter with a number such as using a “0” to replace an “o” or they usually lack HTTPS meaning no padlock icon in the browsers address bar, and often have poor designs with spelling Erros or outdated content. Also, fake websites might have a ton of pop ups or ask you for personal information right away which a real website will not do. Real websites have correctly spelled URL’s and use common domain extensions like .com or .org. They use HTTPS, indicated by a padlock icon, ensuring a secure connection. Real websites have a high-quality design, proper grammar and regularly updated content and also have clear contact information along with privacy policies. Always verify the URL and look for security indicators to distinguish between real and fake websites.
