Three professional goals that you hope to achieve by the end of my practical experience:
- One goal I have is to find out what the office manager, Sherry, finds challenging by running the office and what ways she stays organized.
- In order to do this, I will assign a time to meet with Sherry and get an overview of what she does as the office manager. During the meeting I will ask her what she finds difficult to manage, if anything, and then how she stays organized.
- Another goal I have is to work on and obtain better communication skills and be more confident when speaking to others.
- I will accomplish this by being the lead at and attending community fairs. I will learn and watch my preceptor to see how she speaks about the organization.
- Lastly, I want to know how difficult it is, or if it even is, to obtain enough money and resources to make the organization run as it should.
- To figure out this answer I will speak with a few people within the office who put on events or anything of that sort to see if this is something they struggle with. I also can speak with the executive director of the chapter to get his take on this topic. I can also speak with the accounting assistant who could give me information on this topic.
