I’m interested in cybersecurity technology because it always interests me as there’s so many types of technology coming out at such a rapid rate. Watching things get created and seeing how little everything on the motherboards is always a sight to see because of how much better things are becoming for the technological world. Hearing about how certain cyber attacks happen also intrigues me due to the sheer creativeness some of them can be, such as creating mock websites and hiding code into images and word documents. Learning how to perform said abilities is always fun to perform because it gives me that feeling that I’m one of the people that is going to fight back against those who are performing these activities maliciously.

Criminal Justice is a major that relates to cybersecurity very well due to how a lot of the attacks nowadays deal with stealing personal information over the internet. You learn about the social behaviors of criminals and what ways they can perform their attacks, including in the cyber world. Computer Science relates to cyber security because you learn about the backbone of programs and when using that in the cybersecurity world, can use it to find risky code that can cause problems. You also work on projects that deal with problem solving, which can greatly help when working with others in cyber. It gives options for network and database administration and security analysis, which are big things to keep an eye on in cybersecurity. Information Systems & Technology relates to cyber in a way that those in cyber can help keep those information systems under heavy security. The major deals with e-business which can use a good bit of security to protect all of the money and private data of those who work for the company or are customers of the company. Modeling and Simulation Engineering relates to cybersecurity by taking concepts and testing them in the real world. With the tests going on, they could have low security and could require cybersecurity specialists to help perfect their tests and hypotheses if needed in case of any code or private info gets out. They could also use cyber to help keep their games or programs under surveillance in case of those who try to ruin their game servers or web servers.
