  1. Design thinking is a way to tackle problems in the real world by finding alternatives to solving them. It’s based on thinking outside of the box to find a way to solve the problem by focusing on the user’s needs. It involves using direct observation and quality data to allow for diagnosing the problem in a more defined manner. The way that it’s performed makes for a faster and cheaper way to find answers to problems.
  2. It has influenced me in a way when I’ve had problems with my Nintendo system. It wouldn’t read my cartridges and I had to figure out why. I went to a retro store and asked how much it would cost to be able to get the problem fixed and they had told me that it would cost a lot of money, so I went home and looked up ways to make the console read my cartridges and I found a cheap way. I ended up taking apart my console and wiping the cartridge reader down with a Qtip and rubbing alcohol, thus allowing for my cartridges to be read again.
  3. The connections between them seems to be related to the customers and resources. Opportunities relate to trends and want customers want while planning relates to who your customers are and what you need to do to find them. When it comes to opportunities, it’s best to look for trends that are relating to what you plan to be successful with and planning requires you to find the resources for it.
  4. I remember I missed a very important opportunity in high school when I took an 3D modeling class and made an animation regarding war driving with a friend of mine. We made the mistake of only saving it to one of our drives and it was mine, and a week before they did the drawing for the best animation my drive corrupted because I was very uninformed about needing to eject before pulling the drive out of the computer. We ended up not being able to use our animation for the program and we missed out on a good college scholarship.
  5. A successful venture can be unethical if something is done in a way that others can see it as immoral. You could do something that could help you out greatly but could have a very negative affect towards a certain group of people. The consequences could also lead to a very bad future depending on the audience you’re dealing with, which could make your venture and life go down in flames.
