I checked the NatWest website and compared it to a fake variant of it called ww1.natwesti.com, and when checking the fake site it brought up related search terms instead of bringing out a site. I also searched the Barclays bank website and saw there was a fake version of it called ww1.barclaya.net, noticing that it had the same kind of website design as the natwesti site. I also went to the Lloyd’s bank site and found a fake version called www.lloydstsbs.com, which redirected itself to a fake site and then redirected itself to AliExpress’ home site.

The way that you can tell if a website is fake is when searching for the site, you can see that it says not secure in the URL bar. Google may also give an error that a site may be suspicious and that it tells you to leave the site and check a different one. Another way to tell if a site is fake is by checking for https:// and if it’s not there, there’s a potential that it’s a fake site. Fake sites also pull up a lot of popups that make you enter your credentials.
