Interview a Health Professional

I interviewed Mia Harlow, she currently works at Northdale Senior living facility. She is a certified CNA. She currently has a CNA certification and is working to get her nursing degree. Her CNA certification was a part of her nursing school program so she took a class and then a state test to get certified. Her main purpose of becoming a CNA was because it’s required for her degree. Some of her responsibilities are to check on the people who live there and make sure that all their needs are met. She’ll do things like take them to the bathroom, change their sheets, etc. what makes this job so rewarding is knowing that she’s helping people be the best care possible. Something that she wasn’t expecting was to walk into a patient’s room and see them dead. She said her most challenging aspect of being a CNA is to make sure all their needs are met the way they want it. Some advice she’d give people who are going to be in the healthcare field is to always be ready and prepared because you don’t know what you’re going to face.
