From the beginning of the semester to now I have learned time management skills. Being able to make a schedule to attend my classes, have time to study for them and make time for school activities as well as hanging out with friends. Coming into college I did not know how I was going to split up my time to do all these things.but luckily over time I was able to adapt to college life. My expectations for my first semester I expected it to be difficult due to us transitioning from high school. I also expected college to be  fun. I can say yes this semester’s experiences did meet up to my expectations but it also did not. I say yes because it was very hard adapting to college. I believe I am still trying to get a hang of it. I also say no because social media makes it seem like college is the best thing in the world. But in all reality I think it is over hyped. 

In all honesty this semester I did not study for any of my classes. And it is not that I did not want to study for these classes, I just did not know how to study and I was not sure on what exactly to study. I am not a great note taker and when I did take notes it was messy. I think taking notes  on the important parts of the lecture will help me alot instead of trying to write the whole slide down. As well as possibly getting pens and highlights to make it look more neat. Going into next semester I plan on looking at the powerpoint slides that my professors put out on the blackboard. I plan on going to study groups to review class material. 

These classes were all tied together by following a social injustice theme. Social injustice is a justice with the idea that all people should have equal rights , opportunity and treatment. When it comes to chemistry the social injustice theme played a role when talking about the Flint Michigan water and where the water was not safe to drink. This played a major role in social injustice because it seemed like no one cared about their well being. For sociology, going to the Chrysler museum and us running into paintings showcasing social injustice such as black face . Where back in the day white people would color their face with blsck marker to mock black people.

The event that was most beneficial to me as a student was the sociology movie night. I say the sociology movie night because , being able to see first hand how the doctor treated his own coworkers because they were not treating him better than the other patient due to him being a doctor in that hospital made me hope that other doctors do not do the same.
