This semester in HMSV 440W Program development, implementation, and funding we are focusing and learning how to evaluate an agency’s program. Program evaluations are important in the fact that not only do they help you see where your program is excelling at and where it lacks but also because it has the potential to help your program grow and see how it has affected the community. We covered the ins and outs of evaluating an agency’s program such as steps to plan an evaluation, dysfunctional attitudes, the different types of evaluations and how to pick which one is most suitable, the type of measure you can and will be using in your evaluation, and more. With all this having been covered my evaluation question is “Is LifeWorks BHS effective in supporting, educating, and helping recovery and relapses of those with Substance USE Disorder’s?” which I used and kept in mind while doing my evaluation and collecting data.
