The career path of Davin Teo is very relatable to me. I became an IT because that was my job in the Navy, but it wasn’t what I joined to do. I originally had joined to be an Electrician’s Mate in the nuclear community. I ended up failing out of that school and was given a choice of any job I wanted in the submarine force, other than Fire Control Technician, which is what I wanted. I was told LAN Division stood for “Leave At Noon” and IT would be an easy rate and decided to try it. My Dad has also been an IT my entire life. It came easy to me but Leave At Noon was rarely the case. So Teo’s stance of kinda being thrown into it is very relatable to me.
