A degree in nursing can be related to cybersecurity. Nurses have a lot of responsibilities that require cybersecurity knowledge. First and foremost, they deal with the records of every patient they come across. With everything moving toward cloud-based solutions, all these records are dealt with electronically. It is important for people handling and accessing the records to have at least a baseline knowledge of cybersecurity to prevent inadvertent data loss and potential HIPPA Violations.  

Many education majors become teachers, making it imperative for them to understand cybersecurity. Classroom technology has come a long way from when I graduated high school almost 10 years ago. As more classrooms come to utilize smart technology teachers should have the knowledge to lock down these devices to ensure they are being used in a proper manner. It is also important for teachers to understand how to protect files to ensure that students are not able to steal tests or other information. 

Cybersecurity also has applications within the accounting major. When a customer comes to an accounting firm to have them take care of monetary concerns. Clients expect the status of their assets to remain confidential as well as availability maintained so that they can continue to use their assts as needed. To uphold these standards accountants must be able to prevent data loss or fraud. To achieve this, accountants should require some training in cybersecurity. 

On a completely different side of the coin, psychology has a significant impact in the world of cybersecurity. Psychology is the study of human behavior. Criminal psychologists study why criminals commit crimes. In a broad sense the purpose of cyber security is to combat criminals. Psychologists give us a look inside the heads of these criminals. Having an idea of why these crimes are committed gives us the opportunity to combat them at a higher level.
