When deciding what type of meme I wanted to use for this assignment, I decided to pick one that reflected something that I have learned from this class. Out of all the funny and creative memes I could have chosen from different sources, I decided to use this specific one I found just from Google because it uses a combination of two things that I enjoy, learning about cell biology and Taylor Swift songs. This meme shows the end process of the cell cycle, specifically from telophase to cytokinesis. The song lyrics “We are never ever ever getting back together” from the song “We Are Never Getting Back Together” represents and explains the end of cytokinesis. It shows that once the cell has completed the splitting process to form two new daughter cells, they will not remerge back together, like ever (This is a play on the song lyrics).
