Module 7 + 8

The media portrays cybersecurity as easier than it actually is. Carrying out an attack, breaking into systems, cracking down passwords, etc., do not happen so quickly. Hackers may take days for small attacks or months for large-scale attacks. It’s also not as simple as it appears to detect a breach. In many cases, a data breach is not known until damage has already been dealt. It’s not as simple to prevent the attack as seen in movies. Recovering from the damage may be costly and time consuming.
