After reviewing the article about the eleven potential illegal actions on the internet, there were five things that stood out to me. Hacking into computer systems can lead to massive data breaches and harm to national security. Distributing copyrighted material without permission undermines the creators’ rights and leads to them missing out on money. This can also lead to legal actions as well. Cyber bullying can make a huge impact on someone’s life. This can lead to severe emotional distress or even suicide. Spreading viruses/malware can compromise the security of systems. The last one that stood out to me is participating in online fraud. This can obviously lead to terrible things such as financial loss or identity fraud.
