Writing Reflection Two
Throughout the second half of University One-Fifty I have noticed great improvement in my writing abilities. However I still have some areas that need improvement before the final exam. These problems consist of shifts in person and the use of commas.
The first of the two problems I still have in my writing are shifts in person. With this problem I tend to shift a lot from third person to second person and then back again. This is usually due to me just typing away without noticing the shift going on. I can fix this by first typing my sentences, then pausing to read over what I have just wrote and look for those shifts in person. I will also have to change how I proofread by not doing it after I am done and do it after every paragraph. This change will help me to notice the shifts in person better because I am reading only one section at a time and can focus on it.
The second of my continuous problems are the commas. With commas I can never really figure out where to put them or if one should be there or not. This dilemma just ends up making me put no comma at all. I can fix this by studying how to use commas by looking at the powerpoint on blackboard. I can also try to look up the rules of where to place commas on the internet and try to teach my self so I can improve before the final exam. Lastly, I can always ask other people, such as classmates to read over my papers for help.
Finally, I have improved a lot over my time in University One-Fifty however I still have some bugs to iron out such as shifts in person and commas. However these problems can be fixed before the final exam by proofreading and studying.
