Writing Reflection Two

Writing Reflection Two –REFLECTION (five points)—this particular text should summarize your writing experiences in UNIV 150 throughout weeks six through twelve. In particular you will address your midterm score in comparison to your incoming score, noting growth that has taken place; then discuss your plan to achieve writing success in weeks thirteen through sixteen. Include discussion about plans for the final exam.

Throughout weeks six through twelve the biggest things I have struggled with when it comes to my writing was being able to stay on topic. Often times while writing I begin to fade away from the topic at hand and sticking to the prompt that is required. Something else I have experienced while writing during weeks six through twelve was my grammar. It was difficult to realize what punctuation I needed throughout my writings. I received a 8.4/10 on my midterm and was very pleased with this score as it shows the growth I have made throughout UNIV 150. My writing before this course was clearly not up to college writing standards which is why I was ordered to take the course. With my score being an 8.4/10 I truly believe not only has my writing gotten better but my grammar as well. My plan is to continue to receive help from the writing center tutors as well as practicing my grammar in class by using the grammar lessons and assignments we receive to the best of my ability. Another tool I plan on using is making sure I am focusing on the topic of my writing that way the reader who reviews my writing knows what I am writing about. For my final exam, I plan on using all four essays from the semester, all grammar and punctuation assignments and notes and using the advice from tutors I have received to writing a compelling final paper. With the final exam being close, I want to leave my professor off with a good final impression and I plan on doing that by using her lessons as a way to guide me throughout my final exam.
