ePortfolio Entry #10

There is always room for improvement regarding the security of cyber networks and systems. Cyber networks constantly communicate within the system on their status, if they’ve been attacked, and what they need to function with the purpose of the creation of updates to at a less vulnerable state. The cyber networks being created by engineers are always going to be in the un-ending loop of updates and modification on account of what the stakeholders want and need as well as reaching the maximum level of security at the time. At any point a vulnerability or a weak point within the network is found, the engineer creates a new modification or patch to strengthen the area in need. The creation of new cyber systems and networks are essential on account of the increased difficulty to possible threats that have yet to experience the new system. An additional essential aspect of cyber networks and the growth of security consists of tracking the entirety of attacks that the network receives. This provides the engineers with detailed reports on what they need to patch and what they don’t. As a general statement, these engineers create safer cyber networks by putting the networks in a position to clearly communicate at a constant rate and be easily accessed for modification. This constant and clear communication tells the engineer exactly what the network needs and why it needs the patch. The gravity of improvement regarding these networks is vast on account of the continuous exponential growth of cybersecurity and the new expectations and needs voiced by stakeholders. Another stake in why these networks need to constantly improve is the parallel growth of cyber criminals and their ability to disrupt networks. This disruption is the main reason in which engineers strive for the bust functionality and the best security at every moment.
